How to Setup Yahoo Mail Account in Microsoft Outlook 2010

Step. 1  Run "Microsoft outlook 2010" software from your installed software list. First time it will show a wizard and ask you to configure any e-mail account in outlook. If you will not get that wizard just directly open this from above main "Menu Bar". 

                   Method:-  File > info > Add Account

On this step, It will ask you to fill up your "Yahoo Mail" Account Details, as its shown in above demonstrate picture. You will have to complete this detail properly and accurately like yahoo mail address,  Yahoo mail account Password, etc. After fill up detail just click on "Next" to move process ahead.

Step.2  In this Step, It will try to connecting with yahoo mail server to log on your account. After synchronization it would show you a error that " Log on to server and send a test email message". It means , Its failed to connect with server automatically as its shown in below demo picture.

Now we will have to configure it Manually so just check "Manually configure server settings" and click next.

Step. 3  At this point, Wizard will show you options to "Choose services". By default It set on first option "Internet E-Mail", simply leave it default and click next.

Step. 4  After click on Next, Internet E-mail Settings would be open. Now Change Server Information. As mentioned below

                                       Account Type:   IMAP

                            Incoming Mail Server:   imap.mail.yahoo.com 

                            Outgoing Mail Server:   smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Now click on "More Settings". A new Settings windows will open. Change settings manually as a did in next step.

Step. 5  Click on  "Outgoing Server Tab" and Select Check box "My outgoing server requires authentications". After that select "Log on Using" Radio button and fill up your Yahoo Mail User Name and Password. Don't Forget to Select Check box of "Remember Password".

Step. 6 On Same Previous window, Now select "Advance" Tab. Now change the settings of Incoming and Outgoing Ports and encrypted connections as Its shown in Below Demo Picture. After change settings click "OK" to save settings and Click Next to finish Wizard.

Step. 7  Well-done Guys, Now Your Yahoo account has been configured successfully. You can see confirmations of successfully login, as its shown below.
